Regenerating Content

If editing isn't enough, you can request new AI generations:

Option A: Generate More Versions

  • Adds new versions to existing ones (up to max 4)
  • Uses the same configuration
  • Provides fresh AI perspective on the topic

Option B: Custom Prompt Regeneration

Provide specific instructions for tailored content:

Example Prompts
"Make it more visual with diagrams"
"Add healthcare industry examples"
"Simplify for ESL learners"
"Include more real-world applications"
"Focus on ethical considerations"
⚠️ Regeneration Costs Each regeneration uses API tokens. Use the edit function for minor fixes and regeneration only when you need a fundamentally different approach.

Content-Specific Editing Tips

🧠 Knowledge Explorer (KE)

  • Verify all node connections make logical sense
  • Check that concept progression is scaffolded properly
  • Ensure exploration paths lead to meaningful learning
  • Add missing prerequisite concepts if needed

💬 Socratic Playground (SPL)

  • Ensure dialogue flows naturally
  • Check hint progression (easy → medium → detailed)
  • Verify agent responses are conversational, not JSON
  • Test that questions guide without giving away answers

📝 SATA Assessment

  • Verify correct answers are actually correct
  • Check that distractors are plausible but wrong
  • Ensure no trick questions or ambiguous wording
  • Confirm difficulty matches the proficiency level

🤖 AI-Assisted Editing

Use built-in AI tools to help improve your content quality:

AI Critic

Get automated feedback on your content before publishing:

  • Click 🔍 AI Critic in the toolbar
  • Select a review type (Factual, Pedagogical, Bias, Assessment, Technical, or Comprehensive)
  • Review the AI's feedback with severity indicators (🔴 Must Fix, 🟡 Should Address, 🟢 Nice to Have)

💬 AI Chat for Understanding Feedback

If the AI Critic feedback is too technical, use the chat feature:

Click "Ask About This Criticism"

Opens a chat window with the AI that understands the context of the criticism.

Ask Questions

Use natural language to ask about anything you don't understand:

  • "What does this mean?"
  • "How should I fix this?"
  • "Can you give me an example?"
  • "Why is this a problem?"

Get Plain-Language Explanations

The AI explains technical feedback in terms teachers can understand and act on.

💡 Example Chat
AI Critic says: "Distractors lack semantic plausibility; cognitive load on discrimination is insufficient."

You ask: "What does that mean?"

AI explains: "Your wrong answers are too obviously wrong. Students can eliminate them without really understanding the topic. Try making the wrong answers more similar to the right answer, but still incorrect."
